Paul takes his girls on a music, art and culture tour of London.
We all had a tour booklet, based on The Clash, and stayed at Clink 182, the prison in Pentonville Road where The Clash also stayed, courtesy of Her Majestys Government, due to the guns on the roof incident! We listened to London Calling on the way to London, one of my favourite landmark albums.
You can see Grace is guilty of something, sitting in the judges seat, in the court.
It was fun, but a little scary staying in an actual cell. We also stayed at The Portobello Gold in Notting Hill. We saw some real Banksy street art, shopped at Portobello Market, went to the girls first proper gig at Rough Trade East in Brick Lane, where we saw and met the really cool two piece The Crushed Beaks. Ella went up and got an autograph.
We hung out in Shoreditch, places like The Big Chill Bar and Cafe 1001 and went to Obey The Giant, Shephard Fairey graffiti exhibition, which was all over the area. Awesome.
We also did Oxford Street and Camden Town. The girls loved Camden Market, The Proud Galleries and Zyberdog.
Both girls were tasked with hailing a taxi or two as part of there Londonisation, and we got tubes and trains.
Paul bumped into Don Letts, Clash Producer and Musician. That made his trip.
A good time was had by us all.
